Xiaomi Civi is a phone that puts forward a slick design and a superior front camera. Now there will be a new version called Xiaomi Civi S which is present later this month.
Xiaomi CIVIXiaomi started introducing the Xiaomi Civi line of phones last year. This device focuses more on design and front camera, so it is suitable for women. Now, the company is gearing up to launch a new version of the Civi series phone in the Chinese market.
The new series is named Xiaomi Civi S, which is an iterative model of the first generation Civi and not a second generation device. The tipster Digital Chat Station has now provided information about the launch and availability of the phone.
Reporting from Gizmochina (16/4), the Xiaomi Civi S phone will be launched later this month and will be available for purchase in the Chinese market starting next month. However, the exact date has not been revealed.
In terms of design, the device is expected to be similar to the Xiaomi 12 but will have a focus on thinner and lighter devices and a better selfie camera.
Previous leaks revealed that the phone will feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED LTPO curved edge display with Full HD+ resolution. The refresh rate of this screen is 120 Hz. Inside, the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor.
Xiaomi Civi S is predicted to come with a RAM capacity of up to 12 GB and internal storage up to 256 GB. This phone is likely to run on top of the Android 12 operating system with Xiaomi's signature MIUI custom interface.
In the camera segment, the Civi S will have a triple camera setup on the back. It consists of a 64 MP Samsung GW3 main camera with OIS support, an 8 MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens, and a 2 MP B&W camera.
On the front, this device is equipped with a 32 MP Sony IMX616 camera for taking selfie photography and making video calls. The Xiaomi Civi S will have a battery capacity of 4,500 mAh and offer support for 67W or 55W fast charging.
